Around the 16th century, the Samurai sect emerged in Japan.With the exception of the Shogun, they were the only sect allowed to possess and to use weapons.The Katana (the long sword) and the the Wakizashi (short sword), known as the 'Daisho', were for the exclusive use of this warrior sect and were the soul of the Samurai. Inside the home the katana was kept in a support, whilst the Wakizashi was worn on the person. The dagger was used as much in the suicide ritual (Seppuku) and was the only weapon which could be used by women and merchants. At that time, the most valued gift that a Shogun or a Daimyo could present to a Samurai was a Samurai sword. Today, it is still the custom in Japan to make a gift of a Samurai sword on special occasions, as a reminder and respect for the past.

Stealth Ninja Sword

This Stealth Ninja Sword has a total length of 37 inches, it has a stainless steel blade of 26 1/2 inches which is sharp. The hand guard is shaped and has a gold finish with the handle being wrapped in black cross braiding. At the end there is a brass pommel holding a tassel. It has a wooden scabbard with cross braiding to match the handle, and comes with a shoulder carry strap

44" SAMURAI COBRA HEAD KATANA SWORD.
This cobra head katana is 44 inches in overall length and has a straight 440 stainless steel blade of 28 inches. The metalwork on the sword is highly detailed and is finished in antique silver. At the handles end is a cobra head with red imitation ruby eyes. The handle has a snake skin finish with a patterened centre ring spacer. The hand guard is a serpent and dragon coiled together coming face to face around the handle. The scabbard has a high gloss black lacquer finish with a cobra at the tip and throat. DELUXE NINJA
This deluxe ninja sword has many built in accessories. The sword and all accessories come in a high gloss black finish with gold trim. The sword has an overall length of 38 inches, with a blade length of 24 inches. The blade is, of course, made from the renowned quality Spanish steel with an unsharpened edge and a high polished finish.
The handle has black twisted braid over immitation ray skin with a gold Menuki (handle ornament) and gold end cap, which has embossed dragon detailing. It has a high gloss black painted metal scabbard.
The throat of the scabbard is wrapped with genuine black leather and houses 2 Kozuka (small knives). The metal work has exquisite detail and is finished gold. At the bottom of the scabbard it has a pull out section that holds 3 accessories, a handspike, a throwing knife, which also can be attached to the end of the scabbard to make a spearhead, and a bottle to hold any little items. At the top of the scabbard by the braiding (Kurikata) are two concealed metal knives (kozuka). The handles of the kozuka have dragon decorative work.
