This Scottish Officers Regimental Dirk has the top missing
The Regimental Dirk was worn from the mid-19th century onwards.
The grip is black, in the customary basket-weave pattern and should be topped with a traditional “cairngorm” amethyst, but This is missing.
The 11-1/2” 440 stainless steel blade is fileworked in the popular scalloped pattern.
A suspension bracket is provided on the scabbard for a leather strap/frog.
This is an extremely decorative and collectible but as you can see in the pictures the knife has the
stone missing from the top.
This exquisite piece would make an ideal gift or display item
