Great project axe 0 people found this helpfulGot this for my collection of reproduction weapons. It’s a great project axe. I’ll be removing the nut that secures the head, cutting a few inches off the handle, staining the handle with birch oil and doing a few other things to personalise it.

CLASSIC AXE WITH MODERN TOUCHES!! 0 people found this helpfulI had been looking at this axe for a while as a customisation project. The axe head is great quality and looks amazing, and the sticker backing rubbed off by hand, and will look even better when i have aged it a little as part of the project. The retaining screw is a nice little modern touch that also increases the safety aspect of this axe. The handle is a great length and feels good quality, and does not appear to have any finishing coatings so i should not have to prep this before i start. The only issue i have with this axe is the handle is a poor fit. It is a little loose and there are some compression marks where it has been rammed on relying on the screw instead of a good fit to retain the head. This will be a relatively easy fix and provides the starting point for my project, but you shouldn't have to do this for a new and original handle. The fit is why i gave the axe itself four stars instead of five.

Functional tool that looks cool. 0 people found this helpfulA useable axe at a more than affordable price. Don't let "TAIWAN" on the axe head spoil the magic for you (just sand that bit off). It looks the part, and in the few tests I've done in the backyard its split firewood and sliced water bottles no problem. Get the sharpener for practicality and the sheath for safety.
