Perfect bit of kit 0 people found this helpfulThe hanwei throwing axe is one of the best on the market. The friction fit handle makes it safe to throw because, if it lands wrong the handle comes loose and prevents it coming back at you, to tighten up the head just needs a tap on a hard surface and you are good to go again .

Mixed feelings. 0 people found this helpfulThe axe looks great, balance is really nice and it’s beyond sharp. So sharp you could shave with it (I don’t recommend it, but you could). When I first opened my package, the axe head had some play in it (wobbly on the handle). So I tapped axe on a hard surface, head down to see if that would wedge it more, it did. I threw it, it worked. I threw it again and the handle came loose. Looking at where the head sits on the handle, it looks to be a glue wedged (ineffectively). I repeated the tapping, and hammered the head down the handle more and it seems solid. However if this happens again, I am temped to drill through head into the handle and cold peen a small nail through it to hold it place and make it 100%. Maybe I’ve just had a semi dud but as I like to take this apart, customise, make better and use my equipment a lot, I don’t mind too much. But if your not able to fix things, maybe have a look for something more straightforward. The leather protector that it comes with is good, tough leather. However I have had to re sew it as the sharpness of the head cut the stitching inside. Look: 10/10. sharpness: 9.5/10. Functionality: 5/10. Balance: 9/10.

Brilliant throwing axe very sharp 1 people found this helpfulStarted throwing at my local axe throwing club "The Viking Axe" where the Francisa is considered the axe of choice, a few weeks ago I bought my own shipping was quick the axe arrived razor sharp with a excellent leather blade guard in a period design. Been throwing this axe for several weeks now and I am very happy with aspects of the axe including the balance

Great Value For A Great Product 1 people found this helpfulFantastic Value for a marvellous looking axe. Balance and finish is of excellent quality. Handle and weight is very nice. Overall fantastic product if looking for a smaller "Viking style" axe, and don't want to fork over several hundred pounds for a two handed war axe. Suitable for any collector or enthusiast whether they be a serious collector or a novice. You won't be disappointed.
