Perfect 1 people found this helpfulI had been looking for a sugarloaf without the usual brass fittings. I'm delighted with this helmet the quality is fantastic and the chinstrap is thick and comfortable. I recommend getting the larger size and wear an arming cap underneath if you want a snug fit.

Sugarloaf helmet 1 people found this helpfulThis review will cover both the product and the service delivered by Southern Swords. Helmet This helmet is one of the most iconic ones of the medieval period so its kind of a must have. The helmet came with a film of oil but once I had cleaned that off I put the helmet on. I went for the medium size and it fits very well. The chin strap is made of good, soft leather and will hold the helmet on your head with ease. Unfortunately there were alot of black flakes inside the helmet, I am not sure what from and the leather lining is not very thick. Southern Swords As always with Southern Swords I was very impressed. The service was fast and professional and greatly outstripped larger companies in terms of customer service. My only slight criticism is that the website as a whole could use some more pictures of the items for sale, but other than that Southern Swords is a fantastic and reliable company. I will certainly be placing more orders.
