Well worth it 1 people found this helpfulI've been after an axe for a while on etsy. Something that could be personalised with a Norse serpent a lot like the one I have tattooed on my forearm. Then my daughter told me to check out Southern Swords as they had a throwing axe with something very similar to my tattoo. I was dubious but I gave it a go and there it was... It's not identical to my serpent but it's quite close. So I ordered it straight away. As soon as I proved I was me and that I was old enough to have an axe the people at Southern Swords packaged it up and posted it. It arrived the next day! I was impressed with that. The axe (and the sharpening Puck) was well packaged and protected but not to the point of being a nightmare to unwrap. My first thoughts were that it has a good weight, feels nicely balanced and looks really good. The serpent is nicely done. It is blunt, but I can soon fix that with the Puck sharpening stone I got from Southern Swords. I haven't thrown it yet and to be honest I didn't get it to throw it, mainly because the only thing I can throw with any accuracy is a rugby ball. I still want a nice custom axe with my tattoo on it but I'm not in a rush to get now I have this wee beauty. For the price I think it's a bargain and I have no qualms in recommending it. I also recommend Southern Swords, excellent service and I will be buying something from them in the near future.

Lovely axe 1 people found this helpfulI bought this as the norse tomahawk was out of stock. It is a beautiful item. It is heavy but it was for my son and he can use it easily. The axe blade itself is beautifully finished with the dragon perfectly contrasting the black background. It could be used for throwing when sharpened or hung on a wall for display. I really like it and the price was very reasonable.

Awsome 1 people found this helpfulThe perfect tool, loved throwing it, one of my favourite axes amongst many. Very sturdy and great to use, had to put an edge on it for whittling whitch wasn't a problem.all in all fantastic.
