The Handle and Head are Great, Langets No So Much 1 people found this helpful

The overall quality of the item is great, however, the quality of the screws that are meant to attach the langets are unforgivably poor quality and not what I expect from a company like Cold Steel.
The screws snapped as I was screwing them in as per the instructions, so I ended up just not using the langets.
I intend to drill the holes a bit bigger and use some M3 hardened screws (which should be the screws supplied, in my opinion) but the hammer works fine without the langets and I won't be using it against a sword any time soon.
Cold Steel should address this issue immediately as it seriously affects the enjoyment of the product and has really damaged their reputation in my eyes.

The item (the war hammer) is great, in perfect condition and i'm loving it. The delivery was really quick, no messing about would definitely use Southern Swords again. Thanks. Only downside was it was a bit more expensive than direct through cold steel.

OK this looks great and is really light yet have to say the screws that attach the side bits to the wood very weak 2 snapped I think I was expecting it to be better made but in general OK

The hammer shaft and head are both good quality pieces of kit, the langets are also fine, but the screws used to secure the langets to the shaft are way too small and flimsy. I whacked a piece of wood with the hammer and the piece of wood was obliterated, all 14 of the screws securing the langets snapped, but the head and shaft were perfectly intact.
