This Classic Norman Single Hand Sword Has A Broken Tang
This classic design single handed sword dates back from the early 14th century, it has simple lines, yet its beauty and balance, along with the diamond-section blade and cruciform hilt, made it a surprisingly easy sword to handle.
Crafted in much the same way as swords were made centuries ago, except that the blades are now forged from high-carbon spring steel, a resource unavailable off-the-shelf to the smiths of the old. The blade has a light polished finish which is closely replicating what the medieval swordsmith was able to achieve. The hand crafted high carbon steel blade is tempard for strength. The fittings are polished steel and these swords will appeal to both the re-enactor, and the collector who wants a sword with the same appearance as the originals.
