The inner circumference of this Mongolian helmet measures approx. 66 cm and the helmet is made of 18 gauge carbon steel.
It is based on the helmets mounted nomadic archers wore on the Eurasian steppes in ancient and medieval times. The bowl of the helmet is made of coated steel and the nose guard is made of antiqued brass. Our Mongolian helmet has a protective aventail at the back, and the decorative crest is made of genuine horsehair. You can adjust the leather liner to make the helmet more comfortable to wear, and you can fasten it securely under your chin using the leather strap and buckle. Regardless of what the horse is doing, this helmet will stay on every mounted archer's head!
We also have a helmet stand for this item as pictured which is usually £19- but if purchased with the helmet is only £15-
