In Alexander Dumas' novels, he wrote that the heraldic cross fleury was one of the identifying symbols musketeers used. This surcoat is decorated with crosses fleury embroidered and displays the lily symbol as well.  Our surcoat with a silver cross is made of supreme quality cotton velveteen and lined with matching satin. The neck opening is cut wide to accommodate a dashing white shirt with a broad, decorative cavalier collar.
