A lot of Blade for the Money 0 people found this helpfulExtremely well built, quite hefty for the size. Good cutter, sturdy point. Scabbard is a bit rough and ready, but serviceable. More like a large dagger than a sword. Well worth having for the asking price.

Excellent , especially for the price. 3 people found this helpfulThis is a fantastic little sword for the price, and surprising that it is such good value for money. What you get is a short carbon steel straight sword in a Fulham Roman Gladius style, which tapers slowly at the end to a wicked point. The blade itself is riveted to a buffalo horn handle and a scabbard is included which is wood wrapped in basic leather but is very functional. It was the backup weapon used by the Cossacks and Northern Persians, and you can see why. The only complaint some people have about this little sword when I was initially looking online, is that the rivets are a bit large on one side of the handle and quite cumbersome. I find personally, that they add to the design and provide grip when sheathing/unsheathing/cleaning as long as they are under the finger side of the grip and not the palm. As always, Southern Swords’ service and responses regarding queries about the item and delivery were fast. Overall very happy with the purchase and will be a lovely addition to my small collection.

Best quality short sword for under 50 pounds 4 people found this helpfulThe sword has been tempered well with good flex, the horn hilt is also well made and firm. The leather and wooden scabbard is also excellent. Thank you southern swords for the prompt delivery.

Qama knife, good enough for a bit of fun. 3 people found this helpfulJust received this knife/short sword today, and I will say it has exceeded my expectations. I thought for such a low price it was going to be awful. Not at at. Well put together, strong bit of steel. Feels nice in the hand adjusting the grip around the studs. Great stuff, now off to the garden to do battle.
