The Roman helmet of the "Imperial gallic" type. The original was found in Germany and dated back to the middle of the Ist century A.D. Entirely made in burnished iron, provided with a lowered neck plate protecting neck and shoulders, whilst the face guard, the cheek pieces and the earholes are decorated with brass-plated metal.
This is an authentic and high quality replica of the head-armour worn by thousands of Roman troops fighting to extend the Roman Empire during the days of Julius Caesar and Mark Anthony. It is made of hand-forged A-36 18 gauge mild steel with brass trim. This metallurgical composition provides excellent resilience, durability and will polish to high sheen.
