The Great Helm was developed through the course of the 13th. century. This reconstruction replicates the Pembroke helmet, made late in the period and dating from around 1300 AD, now in the Burrell Collection Glasgow. This style of helm was often worn in conjunction with a smaller, lighter helmet, the Secret (see our Secret Helm AB0371). Crafted in 14 gauge steel and fully padded, this helm provides excellent head protection for the weapons-contact re-enactor.
Close attention to quality is a top priority in every piece, and this item is shipped to you pre-oiled for protection.
We also have a helmet stand for this item as pictured which is usually £19- but if purchased with the helmet is only £15-
