The Thorpe Falchion

Brand: Windlass Steelcrafts

This extraordinary replica originated in the late 13th or 14th century and was found in the Yare River near Thorpe St. Andrews, England in 1833.

Comparisons with the original prove that this re-creation is almost identical to its historical prototype when it comes to dimensions and balance. The single-edged blade is slightly curved, which is why a falchion is classified as a curved sword. The crossguard is curved and has punch-outs shaped like crosses at both ends. The classic wheel pommel keeps hands from sliding off the leather-wrapped grip. Our Thorpe falchion comes with a leather scabbard.
